Amy Wilson Carmichael (1867 – 1951) was an Irish Christian missionary in India, credited with rescuing many young girls from temple servitude. She opened an orphanage and founded the Dohnavur Fellowship mission in Tamil Nadu, thirty miles from the southern tip of India. She faithfully served in India for 55 years without a single furlough. Before Amy Carmichael died in India at the age of 83, she requested to be buried in an unmarked grave. The children she had cared for put a bird bath over her grave with the single inscription "Amma", which means mother in the Tamil. language. Her biography quotes her as having said, "One can give without loving, but one cannot love without giving."

The drama will be performed by the traveling ministry team from Mount Calvary Baptist Church in Greenville, South Carolina.
